Amanda Howard to become first female chair of Investment Property Forum

31 January 2011

Amanda Howard, leading property lawyer and head of Nabarro's funds and indirect real estate team, will become the first female chair of the Investment Property Forum (IPF) in June 2012.

The announcement was made at the IPF's annual lunch on Friday 28 January. Amanda will become vice-chair of this influential industry body when Phil Clark, European Head of Property Investment, at Aegon Asset Management becomes chair in June 2011. Amanda will take over as chair the following year.

Commenting on her appointment, Amanda said:

"As an asset class real estate is increasingly attractive with a wall of capital looking for suitable investment and new opportunities. This will be an interesting time to become vice-chair and chair of the IPF which has such a valuable role in improving awareness, understanding and the efficiency of property as an investment."

Amanda has been on the IPF board since 2005. At Nabarro she specialises in structuring real estate funds, joint ventures for property investment and development, and corporate wrapped property transactions.
