Nabarro LLP has acted for the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) on its recent investments in two London regeneration projects, Holloway Road and Hale Village. These projects form part of the HCA's multi-million pound programme to invest money to kick start developments in London which have been affected by the economic downturn.
As the national housing and regeneration agency for England, the HCA's role is to create thriving communities and affordable homes.
Nabarro acted for the HCA on its restructuring of the development arrangements with urban development and investment company, First Base, in relation to the site previously occupied by the London Taxi Showrooms on Holloway Road, N7. The site will offer 119 new homes. The team at Nabarro on the Holloway Road transaction was led by real estate partner Marc Franks assisted by real estate associate Leisa Turner. First Base was represented by Ashurst. Nabarro also advised the agency on its investment to ensure the continuation of the development programme at Hale Village which is beside Tottenham Hale station. The £400m regeneration scheme will act as a catalyst for the wider regeneration of this part of North London. The team at Nabarro on the Hale Village transaction was led by banking and finance partner Clive Swillman, assisted by associate Catrin Evans. James Letchford, real estate associate and Debbi Simon, construction associate were also part of the Nabarro team. Hale Village Properties LLP was represented by Field Cunningham and DLA represented Anglo Irish Asset Finance Plc. Marc Franks, real estate partner at Nabarro commented, “We are delighted to have assisted the HCA on such exciting projects which were amongst the first in its ‘kick start’ funding programme in London.” For more information please contact: Natalie George
