Nabarro promotes three to the partnership

Nabarro LLP has promoted three associates to partnership – two based in London and one in Sheffield. From 1 May 2009, Nick Lloyd will become a partner in Real Estate Dispute Resolution group in London and Lukas Rootman will become a partner in the Environmental Group in Sheffield. Emerson Holmes will become a partner in the Construction & Engineering Group in London on his requalification as a solicitor, which is expected to occur in late May 2009.  

Nick Lloyd qualified in September 1997, joining Nabarro in March 2004. Nick has a broad knowledge and understanding of all aspects of real estate dispute resolution and is regularly instructed on high value and complex contractual disputes, lease renewals, redevelopments and Land Tribunal compensation claims. He acts for a number of the firm’s major clients, including Land Securities, The Portman Estate, New Star Property Unit Trust, Stow Securities and Homes and Communities Agency.  

Lukas Rootman qualified as a criminal lawyer in South Africa in 2000 and joined Nabarro in January 2005. Having developed a specialist environmental and health and safety regulatory practice based in the Firm's Sheffield office, Lukas has represented major clients of the firm in contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters, including Brentagg, Balfour Beatty Utilities, UK Coal, Veolia, Lafarge and Grosvenor.  

Emerson Holmes qualified as a barrister at Keating Chambers, worked internationally as a construction disputes lawyer and joined Nabarro in July 2007. Emerson has significant domestic and international contentious construction and engineering dispute experience and, since joining Nabarro, has established himself as a key member of the Construction and Engineering group, acting for a number of the firm’s major clients such as Multiplex/Brookfield on aspects of the Wembley stadium litigation.
