Nabarro Promotes Five to Partnership

Nabarro is pleased to announce that five associates have been promoted to the partnership. The promotions are effective from 1 May 2011, with all five new partners based in London.

Tom Dane, who trained with Nabarro and qualified as a solicitor in 2002, will become a partner in Commercial Dispute Resolution team. Tom advises on all aspects of general commercial litigation and arbitration, with specific expertise in handling group actions and financial services regulatory disputes. He has acted for a range of public and private sector clients including Biffa Waste Services Limited, Nationwide Building Society and Primary Health Properties Plc.

Stephanie McDonald, who qualified in September 2002 and joined Nabarro in July 2007, will become a partner in the firm's Projects group. She has a varied background in projects, commercial and secondary market work and has considerable experience in the health and waste sectors. She has acted for a range of public and private sector clients, including Skanska, Biffa Waste Services Limited, Lend Lease, Serco and Essex County Council.

Christopher Stanwell qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and joined the firm in 2004. He joins the firm's Planning group. Christopher has experience in all aspects of planning law, with specialist knowledge of regeneration, energy and infrastructure projects as well as parliamentary work. He has advised some of the firm's key real estate clients, including Hammerson, Qatari Diar and SEGRO, and has also advised on energy projects, Crossrail and numerous light rail projects.

Clare Thomas is a real estate lawyer who qualified in 2000 and joined Nabarro in 2004. She has a wide range of investment, development and asset management experience for national and international clients. Amongst her clients are Capital & Regional, DekaBank, Land Securities, London & Regional Properties, Angelo Gordon & Co (a US private equity fund) and some private Far Eastern investors. Clare is also a member of Women in Property.

Ben Trust also joins the Commercial Dispute Resolution team. He qualified in 2002 and joined Nabarro in 2007. Since joining the firm, Ben has worked on a number of high profile disputes covering judicial reviews, procurement, competition, regulatory and financial. Ben has advised a range of clients including the Coal Authority, United Business Media, Harrods Limited, Mercedes-Benz, Ryanair and United Biscuits.
