Nabarro cooks up new letting to creators of The Wolseley

23 November 2010

Nabarro LLP has acted for UK & European Investments (UKI), on the pre-letting of a major restaurant unit at UKI's "No 1 Kingsway" development, to a company formed by Jeremy King and Chris Corbin, creators of the iconic Wolseley restaurant on London's Piccadilly.

No 1 Kingsway, on the corner of Kingsway, Aldwych, and Drury Lane, is a 130,000 square foot development of brand new office, residential and leisure space which will be completed next summer. The new sister restaurant to The Wolseley, as yet to be named, will be over 13,000 square feet and is planned to open late autumn 2011.

Real estate senior associate Nathan Rees acted for UKI, with partner Matthew Jones advising on construction aspects of the transaction. BLP advised the tenant.

Commenting on the deal, Nathan Rees said:

"No 1 Kingsway is a highly prestigious development which will provide superb accommodation together with easy access to both the City and the West End. We are delighted to have been able to work with UKI to bring to the scheme what will no doubt become one of London's top 'destination' restaurants".
