Nabarro acts for Yoplait on acquisition of Dairy Crest shares in joint venture company

Nabarro LLP has advised Yoplait on the acquisition of the remaining 49% stake in joint venture company, Yoplait Dairy Crest Limited (now renamed Yoplait UK Limited), from Dairy Crest Group plc (“Dairy Crest”). Following completion Yoplait holds 100% of the share capital of Yoplait UK Limited.

Nabarro began advising Yoplait in 1991 when it acted on the establishment of the joint venture company, which was set up to promote Yoplait branded fresh dairy products in the UK. The firm has since acted for Yoplait in relation to its interest in the joint venture and on related supply and distribution issues.

The acquisition team was led by Nabarro corporate partner Caroline Newsholme, assisted by associate Duncan Milne, and also included partner Cyrus Mehta and associate Ilan Sherr (competition), partner Anne-Marie Winton and associate Sharon Piert (pensions), associate Kim Roberts (employment), partner Rob Raimes and associates Paul O'Brien and Ian Craig (real estate), and partners Michael Hales (litigation) and Jim Mottram (tax).
