Leading UK law firm Nabarro has advised Apollo Real Estate Advisors and Hark Group on their joint venture acquisition of Telford Shopping Centre, Shropshire from Universities Superannuation Fund for £442 million.
The transaction was led by Nabarro and was structured as an indirect acquisition of USS's interests in a Jersey Unit Trust and an English Limited Partnership. The acquisition was funded by The Royal Bank of Scotland plc.
The Centre extends to approximately 50 acres of freehold and has around 170 occupiers. It contains many large retail outlets including Marks & Spencer, House of Fraser and Debenhams, as well as some office space.
