Nabarro advises Hermes Real Estate on one of the biggest city property lettings of the year

Nabarro LLP has advised Hermes Real Estate on one of the biggest property lettings in the City of London since the downturn, the letting of 1 Finsbury Circus, EC2, for an undisclosed rental sum, to law firm Stephenson Harwood.

Stephenson Harwood, who will move there in Spring 2011, and will lease 132,000 square feet of the award winning refurbished building, 1 Finsbury Circus. They will take the lower ground, second to sixth and eighth floor on a 15 year lease.

One Finsbury Circus was designed by Edwin Lutyens, and was previously the international headquarters for BP, and known as Britannic House. The building is Grade II listed and retains a number of architecturally important period features, though it has been refurbished and modernised by Hermes, the refurbishment won the 2009 City Heritage Award.

Nabarro previously advised Hermes Real Estates on another letting in 1 Finsbury Circus to Alvarez & Marsal Europe Limited. . On this most recent deal the Nabarro team was led by real estate partners Simon Staite and associate Ian Craig. Steven Laud and Robert Newman of Stevenson Harwood acted on behalf of their own firm.
