Nabarro advises Land Securities Group Plc on two lease agreements for John Lewis Partnership

Nabarro LLP has acted for longstanding client, Land Securities, on two lease agreements for John Lewis “At Home”, in Chester and Exeter, by its subsidiary, Ravenside Investments Limited. John Lewis Partnership will invest £15.5 million in the two stores and both are scheduled to open in autumn next year.

The two agreements for the leases are conditional on planning and landlord's works. The new stores will take the number of John Lewis “At Homes” to six. Nabarro acted for Land Securities on the first "At Home" letting to John Lewis Partnership in Poole last year. Exeter will be the first “At Home” to open in a city centre location and Chester will be the first “At Home” to open in the north of England.

Ros Hill, managing associate, Nabarro, led on the Exeter store whilst, the Chester transaction was managed by senior associate, Clare Thomas with assistance from associate, Sarah Cooke. John Lewis Partnership was assisted by Eversheds.
