Nabarro helps Great Ormond Street Hospital raise money for patient monitor

5 May 2010

Nabarro has donated the grand total of £37,719.17 to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). The money raised in the last year by the fundraising efforts of the Nabarro staff will go towards a new patient monitor and a patient-controlled analgesia pump for the GOSH intensive care unit.

These systems allow hospital staff in the intensive care unit to measure the vital signs in extremely sick babies, such as, heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate and oxygen saturation.

Throughout 2009 and 2010, staff at Nabarro undertook a number of diverse fundraising activities, including a fantasy football league, book and cake sales and tennis tournaments. As well as these events, associates Phil Anderson, Will Forrest and Paul Beanlands completed the Kilimanjaro Trek and Nabarro’s staff showcased their hidden talents in a ‘Nabarro’s Got Talent’ competition. These fundraising activities have enable Nabarro to surpass the original fundraising target of £25,000 by over £12,500.

Belinda Solomon, chair of the charity committee at Nabarro commented, "We are very proud of all the hard work that the staff have put into raising this fantastic sum for GOSH. It has been a phenomenal year for fundraising and we can’t quite believe that we surpassed our original target by nearly £13,000. A big well done to everyone who got involved, thank you."
