Nabarro completes letting of major London landmark

8 May 2009

Nabarro LLP has advised the landlord, a joint venture between Aviva Fund Management and Atlas Capital Group, of major city landmark, 20 Gracechurch Street on the letting of over 39,000 sq ft of the newly refurbished building to RFIB, part of Robert Fleming Insurance.

Nabarro advised its client on negotiations of the letting during some of the hardest market conditions the City has seen. The firm has also secured lettings at the building to Gap and New Look on the ground floor of the building, as well as an office letting to First Rand Bank.

Nabarro real estate partner, Jeremy Shields led the Nabarro team on the transaction, with assistance from associate Tanya Holt. Stephen Solomons of Piper Smith Watton acted for RFIB.

Commenting on the deal, Jeremy said, “Acting for the Joint Venture on the letting of this building in a notoriously tough market has been a great opportunity for the team. We needed to act very swiftly once terms were agreed to secure the letting to these important tenants, following the extensive refurbishment of this building which provides extremely high quality space in the heart of the City. Our client needed practical commercial advice which sustained investment value but also ensured successful lettings at a difficult time."
