Nabarro acts on first UK property acquisition for AFIAA

Nabarro LLP has acted for AFIAA, the Swiss Foundation for International Real Estate Investments, on the foundation's first UK property acquisition. The firm advised on the purchase of the long leasehold interest in Garrard House, 31/45 Gresham Street, London EC2 from the Garrard House Partnership. The property is currently the London headquarters of Schroders.

Zurich based AFIAA is an investment foundation under Swiss law, focusing on investments in international properties. AFIAA offers tax-exempt Swiss pension funds an investment instrument with a clear profile, enabling them to supplement their portfolio strategically.

The team at Nabarro was led by real estate partner Deborah Parry, with assistance from real estate associates Sharon Frazer, Faisal Nisar and trainee Helen Germain and tax partner Nick Burt, with assistance from tax associates Kirsten Prichard Jones and Rachel Hine. Lawrence Graham LLP advised the Garrard House Partnership.
