Nabarro has promoted 7 associates to Partner. From 1 May 2007 Richard Beavan and Russell Holden will be Partners in our Corporate department, Jonathan Cantor in Corporate Real Estate, Glen Flannery in Restructuring and Insolvency, Louise Gellman in IP, Joshua Risso-Gill in Planning and Jeremy Shields in Real Estate. This will bring the total number of Partners in the Firm to 127.

Richard Beavan joined Nabarro as a trainee solicitor in September 1996 and qualified into the corporate team in September 1998. Richard has a broad range of transactional experience, ranging from AIM floats and secondary fundraisings, private equity investment and MBOs, private company acquisitions and disposals, public company takeovers and joint ventures.

Russell Holden joined Nabarro as a trainee solicitor in March 1997 and qualified into the corporate practice in March 1999. He is a well-rounded corporate transactional lawyer with a wide range of experience which covers general corporate, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, joint ventures and private equity/venture capital transactions.

Jonathan Cantor having qualified in 1996, joined Nabarro in January 2001. He specialises in corporate real estate transactions, particularly the establishment and formation of funds and complex, structured real estate joint ventures. He represents real estate companies, entrepreneurs, institutions and opportunity funds.

Glen Flannery, commenced training at Nabarro in March 2001 and qualified in March 2003. Glen has worked on a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters. He has developed a particular expertise advising on European-wide cross border insolvencies involving use of the European Insolvency Regulation.

Louise Gellman also trained at Nabarro, qualifying in September 1996. She has been working on a four day week basis since June 2002. Louise runs the firm’s trade mark filing practice. She has extensive experience advising on trade mark protection strategies, fighting trade mark oppositions and in the preparation and filing of individual trade mark applications in the UK and on EU trade mark registers.
