Mark has been a partner in the firm's Projects group since its inception and heads up the construction/PFI/private sector team in the firm's Sheffield office. Mark also maintains an office in London, working there on a weekly basis.
Mark’s experience covers a wide range of commercial, FM, construction and project work both at home and the Middle East. He has acted for employers, developers, contractors, and public sector clients on various types of projects including energy/chemical facilities, hotel/flat developments, business parks and shopping centres, hospitals, schools, leisure schemes and industrial/manufacturing projects. He also advises clients on facilities management contracts, construction/project documentation, consortia and joint venture frameworks.
Mark has contributed to the firm’s comments on consultation drafts of OGC Guidance on standardisation of PFI contracts and on the 4P’s draft Project Agreement and guidance for leisure sector PFI schemes. Mark is also on the panel established by London First in devising and reviewing options for reducing bid costs on PFI schemes in the health sector and making recommendations to the Department of Health.
Mark regularly speaks at seminars on PFI and construction FM issues and conducts workshops for international conference organisers on contractual and construction/engineering aspects involved in establishing joint venture projects.
