James is a Partner in the Projects team and is also head of the firm's Waste Industry Group. He is a recognised expert in public private partnerships, outsourcing and joint ventures. His focus areas include waste, outsourcing, procurement and commercial contracts. He has insider experience as an in-house local government lawyer and is recognised as an expert in local government law and finance.
James is featured in legal directories for both projects and local government work. James is a member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management and is a regular speaker at waste events and also contributes to the firm's membership of the Environmental Services Association.
He is an editor of the Public Private Partnerships and PFI loose leaf published by Sweet and Maxwell, and this year is a judge at the Partnerships Bulletin Annual Awards.
James was recognised last year in The Lawyer magazine Hot 100 in respect of his work on waste PPP projects.
