Technology & Sourcing

We advise clients on a full range of technology and sourcing matters, commercial IT and telecommunications contracts and outsourced arrangements

Our experienced team can help with a range of contracts: from everyday technology sourcing to large systems or IT infrastructure contracts and sophisticated outsourced services arrangements, to suit your business needs and your legal costs budget. It is often the case that technology contracting is unsuccessful because there is no real meeting of minds between the customer and the supplier on the requirements and the solution. To help you deal with that risk, our aim is to ensure that you have clear documentation and a full understanding of the relevant legal and commercial issues.

Our lawyers have advised on some of the most high value and innovative technology and business process outsourcing arrangements in recent years. We have particular experience of advising customers and suppliers in the financial services sector, including in relation to back office financial systems, card transactions platforms, market data supply and enterprise-wide system implementations.

We have a strong track record in government IT. We advise public and private sector clients on competitive tendering procedures and all aspects of the EU public procurement Directives and national procurement law. Our experience includes advising central government bodies and local authorities on the procurement process from initial strategy and bidder selection through the tender stage, contract finalisation and award. We advise private sector clients on all stages of the procurement life-cycle including bid responses for public sector technology projects.

We liaise closely with our Brussels office whose close links with the European Commission and other EU institutions means that we are always up-to-date on case law and legislative developments on a range of procurement and related issues.
