The delivery of housing-led regeneration is dependent on ever more innovative solutions, bringing public and private sectors together. Clients expect their lawyers to work out solutions which address the Coalition's priorities and the market realities.

The current economic climate makes it unlikely that grant funding will be readily available and innovation in the structuring and funding of social housing projects will be essential.

We are market leaders in the social housing and regeneration sector. Our team have been involved in closing over a third of the major housing PFI schemes closed to date, and are working on cross-subsidised housing regeneration schemes and other new means of delivering social housing.

Our team has excellent experience of acting for a broad spectrum of clients in this sector including private sector consortia (including registered providers), lenders and local authorities. We understand the complexity of schemes that involve a combination of demolition, development and refurbishment works and have advised on innovative contract structures to deal with effective and tax efficient methods of integrating those elements.

Our extensive public sector and procurement experience means that we are able to manage the tender process effectively to ensure that schemes are commercial and deliverable.
