Investment

We have seen increasing activity in this area as recent equity market conditions and changes within the pension industry have combined to encourage widespread interest in investment in commercial property assets.

We have an enviable client base that includes several FTSE listed companies, private individuals, instititional investors and funders that we service through our highly respected group. We offer a mutli-disciplinary service and we increasingly see transactions involving our Tax, Banking and Corporate teams as well as traditional real estate services.

We have particular expertise in commercial property including offices, retail centres, out-of-town retail, distribution complexes and industrial estates. We have real strength and depth to bring to bear on even the largest and most complex investment transactions and we offer a first class service on all aspects of such transactions including the acquisition, letting and disposal of real estate investment assets.

Real estate investment is increasingly international in scope, both through inward investment (particularly from the USA and Germany), European cross-border investment and and UK companies seeking European stock. We have, for example, acted on over £650m of inward property deals over the last year for existing and new German fund clients.

We advise on all aspects of real estate investment including:

  • Acquisitions and disposals of investment properties and portfolios
  • Cross-border investment
  • Establishment of various investment vehicles, such as:
    • Joint ventures
    • Partnerships
    • Real estate funds
  • Real estate tax issues
